Catherine Onia

Hometown: Charlotte, NC

Catherine was an active member and leader in several campus organizations, including the Pre-Dental Club, the Asian Student Association (Treasurer), and the Filipino-American Student Union (Founder and Vice President). Catherine was also been involved in undergraduate research, studying the “Worker-Queen Interactions of Honey Bees” in the Department of Biological Sciences. Catherine also helped to found a 501c(3) non-profit organization, the Charlotte Asian Basketball League. In her free time, Catherine enjoys playing piano, singing, playing tennis, and taking spontaneous trips, including a visit to Singapore during the summer of 2016.

After graduation Catherine took some time off to travel around Asia, before applying to dental school.
