Hunter Ball

Hunter is a first-generation college student and the oldest of eight children, coming from the rural town of Bryson City in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Concentration in Energy Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. Following graduation, he plans to pursue a career in the energy industry, specifically in improving renewable energy technologies or power grid reliability. On campus, Hunter is a member of the Marine Energy Collegiate Competition design team, as well as M28 Charlotte. In his free time, he enjoys playing the saxophone, hiking, kayaking, and watching motorsports.
