Kyle VanHorn
Kyle is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and plans to go on to earn a graduate degree in aerospace engineering. He hopes to find a career in the aerospace field to help make space travel safer, affordable, and more readily available. He is currently serving as the President of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Student Branch at UNC Charlotte. From this position, he founded and is leading a Design-Build-Fly team to compete in an international RC plane competition. He is also a TA for Intro to Engineering Materials, conducting research involving autonomous drones under the direction of Dr. Wolek, and a MAPS Coach. In his free time, Kyle enjoys attending UNC Charlotte athletic events, backpacking, fishing, and golfing.
