Honors College Staff: Assistant Director of Community Building
The primary purpose of this position is to provide holistic, student-centered advising in the Honors College, fostering connections among honors students through experiential learning opportunities both within and beyond the University. The Honors Advisor is instrumental in building a vibrant honors community by organizing community-building activities across the University’s 30 honors programs and managing engagement opportunities specifically for University Honors Program (UHP) students. Additionally, the advisor supports UHP networking groups, connects students to campus resources such as study abroad programs, undergraduate research, and internship offices, and provides program support for three campus chapters of honors societies. This role also includes teaching 3-5 credit hours within the Honors College per semester.
