As a UHP student, you will have more than one advisor. Your primary advisor(s) will be in your academic major(s). While you may rely on your academic advisor for guidance within your specific major, you should seek honors advising as well to ensure that you are on track, considering all possibilities for your senior requirements, and are knowledgeable of all scholarship opportunities.
The Honors College endorses several high-achieving students every year for nationally competitive awards and fellowships such as the Truman, Goldwater, and Marshall. We provide advising to all students (not just honors students) who are interested in developing a profile likely to lead to a successful nomination. The earlier you start, the better your chances! We provide this information on awards and fellowships so you can learn as much as possible on your own. Please see our page on National Scholarships for Advanced Undergraduate & Graduate Study for more information.
